My American Trip

New York and California, the first two stops on my holiday. London came two weeks after, arriving at Heathrow the day the Brand/ Ross scandal broke. History in the making!

It's the end of days...

Not for everyone, but for those of us enamoured with Russell Brand's brilliant BBC radio show, the time for grieving has come...

BBC One, BBC two

At the risk of making this blog a little Brand- centric, my reading life this week has taken me to the BBC Radio 2 Blog, written by the resident poet of Russell Brand’s Sony award winning radio show, Mr Gee.

Along with a recap of each radio show (in the form of a poem) the blog informs devotees of any behind the scenes incidents and hi jinks. A blog both entertaining and informative....

Also of interest (to those of us dedicated to all things Brand) are the flickr pictures from the On the road documentary of 2007. Russell Brand and writing partner Matt Morgan celebrate the 50th aniversary of the publication of Jack Kerouac's on the road with a trip through the heartland of America. Well worth watching for fans for the book.

Welcome

Welcome to whom ever may be reading. This blog will let the world at large know what I think of whatever it is I happen to be reading at the time. May it be a book/magazine/bus stop advertisement or sale catalogue, I will endeavour to relay my honest opinion.

The first cab off the rank is my favourite book of the year thus far, My Booky Wook by British comedian and soon to be household name, Russell Brand. An Autobiography as witty, hilarious and achingly honest as the man himself, My Booky Wook was a huge bestseller in his native country and is a genuinely candid and poignant introduction to a new kind of celebrity.

I’ve resisted the urge to blog my usual gushing admiration for his work as a radio show host, television presenter, stand up comedian, actor and columnist, so feel free to find out more about Russell Brand for yourself and make up your own mind.
